CATTLE REPORT 20TH JUNE 2016

17 Prime cattle, 11 Store cattle and 15 OTM’s were sold on Monday, when Prime cattle sold to 213p/kg for a 555kg Charolais heifer, from Fraser, Feavel, Birsay, which realised £1182.15 to Craigie Butcher Ltd, The Brig, Kirkwall.

Prime steers sold to 210p/kg for a 605kg Charolais, from Stanger, South Seatter, Sandwick, which realised £1270.50 to Flett’s, Butcher, Stromness.

Store steers sold to 228.6p/kg for a 525kg Limousin, from Bain, Arion, Stromness, which realised £1200.

Store heifers sold to 239.6p/kg for a 480kg Limousin, also from Arion, Stromness, which realised £1150.

OTM Cattle sold to 133.9p/kg for a 545kg Angus cow, from Ritch, Fillets, Graemsay, which realised £730.
