Cattle Report 15th July 13

17 Prime cattle, 16 Store cattle and 32 OTM’s were sold on Monday when Prime cattle sold to 244p/kg for a 570kg Limousin steer, from Garson Farms, Sandwick, which realised £1390.80 to
W Lobban & Son, Butcher, Kirkwall.

Charolais (645kg) Thomson, Layburn, Rendall (233p) £1328.10
Angus (620kg) Montgomery, Midland, Rendall (222p) £1376.40

Prime heifers sold to 242p/kg for a 585kg Limousin, from Garson Farms, Sandwick, which realised £1415.70 to E R & T Craigie, Butcher, Tankerness.

Store steers sold to 214.1p/kg for a 425kg British Blue, from Jones, Denwick, Deerness, which realised £910.

Store heifers sold to 212.1p for a 330kg Charolais, from Ritch, Fillets, Graemsay, which realised £700.

OTM Cattle sold to 200p/kg for a 570kg Limousin, from Spence, Eastabist, Dounby, which realised £1140.
